OH BABY! Another sweet smile to brighten our day, another tiny hand to hold along the way!  Shamesha & Reggie are excited to say, Big brother RJ has a new baby sister or brother on the way!  Our newest little one is due December 2014.

Rj wasn't to happy but the rest of us are ECSTATIC!

Arriving soon, Baby Smith & Baby Sheffield, so delighted to see our family grow with each new birth, each and everyone is prized and celebrated and adored.  With an incredible combination of excitement and panic all mixed into one... we can't wait to meet them!

Coming November 2012

On our annual Disneyland trip this past March, we had all the kids gather into our hotel room under the premise that "I needed a group picture before... I came up with some lame reason, HaHa!" So I had them all pose for the picture (see shot #1) and then Reggie says, "on the count of 3 everybody say Shamesha's pregnant!" Picture # 2 was like, What, really Reggie, nobody EVER knows whether he's serious or kidding... but by picture #3 they were all like ARE YOU SERIOUS, Oh My Gosh!... They were all so TOTALLY SHOCKED but filled with so much excitement as I am sure you can see from these pictures and I have been BURSTING at the seams to share this news but have been sworn to silence until now.  I wouldn't trade this experience for any thing, it's just such an amazing celebratory time, PRICELESS!

GrandBABY # 4 Is on the way...

Shannon & Mark shared the news with the family on Malaysia's Dedication day since it is soooo hard to get all of us together in one place very often.  After the dedication and lunch, we brought out this duel purpose cake - celebrating Malaysia's special day and announcing the arrival of our newest addition due to arrive in late September 2012!

Nothing’s more exciting than hearing about a newborn. Talk about good news!

and I’m thrilled for them. My mind immediately leaps back to when my kids were first born. I quickly forget the sleepless nights or the anxiety about how could we ever afford children.  Instead I want to tell Mark & Shannon about the gummy smiles and the sweet scent of my kids after their bath and all those crazy things we built out of Legos.

I never look at my mostly grown children without seeing their faces when they were babies, wrapped in their first blanket at the hospital. I can’t pass by the hospital where they were born without remembering the excitement I felt at their birth.

And you know what? The excitement is still there when I hear from them by phone, email, text...  I can’t wait to know what is going on in their lives. I hang on to their every word.

I have often heard it said that “A new baby is a sign from God that he wants the world to go on.” A new baby is a reason to be filled with hope. Think what the world can become!

Guess Who's EXPECTING?

Shamara told me a couple of weeks ago that she might be pregnant. WOW! Do I even dare to get excited? YES! Of course I did and I am! Since then she's been to the doctor twice, had an ultrasound and two sets of blood work and YES THERE REALLY IS A BABY GROWING IN HER TUMMY and we have a due date of early August 2011.

This is day number 53 and you're 7 weeks pregnant!You have 227 days or 32 weeks left, and are 18.9% of the way there. Baby's age since conception is 39 days or 5 weeks. Your baby is tiny but growing fast! He or she is the size of a small bean - about half an inch long - and if you could see inside yourself, you'd find your baby has an oversized head in proportion to its body. His or her facial features are still forming, its eyes are just black spots, there are little openings where the nostrils will be, and pits to mark the ears. Protruding buds that will become arms and legs are more noticeable now, and the hands and feet look like tiny paddles. You can't hear it yet, but its little heart is beating about 150 beats per minute (or roughly twice the rate of yours.)
