GrandBABY # 4 Is on the way...

Shannon & Mark shared the news with the family on Malaysia's Dedication day since it is soooo hard to get all of us together in one place very often.  After the dedication and lunch, we brought out this duel purpose cake - celebrating Malaysia's special day and announcing the arrival of our newest addition due to arrive in late September 2012!

Nothing’s more exciting than hearing about a newborn. Talk about good news!

and I’m thrilled for them. My mind immediately leaps back to when my kids were first born. I quickly forget the sleepless nights or the anxiety about how could we ever afford children.  Instead I want to tell Mark & Shannon about the gummy smiles and the sweet scent of my kids after their bath and all those crazy things we built out of Legos.

I never look at my mostly grown children without seeing their faces when they were babies, wrapped in their first blanket at the hospital. I can’t pass by the hospital where they were born without remembering the excitement I felt at their birth.

And you know what? The excitement is still there when I hear from them by phone, email, text...  I can’t wait to know what is going on in their lives. I hang on to their every word.

I have often heard it said that “A new baby is a sign from God that he wants the world to go on.” A new baby is a reason to be filled with hope. Think what the world can become!

DAY # 21

Playing at MiMi's House

12 DAY Weigh In!

Since I am doing a blogging marathon today, playing catch up on Malaysia growth, I will have to come back through and add more details about her weight gain etc. but for now I figure you'd all be happy with the pictures at least. xoxo

2nd Check Up

SHE's GROWING in weight and size and everything else they are measuring her for and she has latched on to breast feeding like a PRO!

3.14 in weight - she had dropped a little from her birth weight which is normal but she is putting it right back on.  She is still just the TINIEST little thing who we are all trying our best to NOT SPOIL ROTTEN!

First Bath & the PUSH PRESENT!

While our NEW Little Mommy came over to MiMi's house to watch MiMi give Malaysia her FIRST BATH...

our NEW biG Daddy Ken went off to play - NO NOT REALLY! - instead he did something even more special.  He went to purchase the "PUSH PRESENT!"

What is that you ask?  Well, I'll first say that it's something that didn't exisit when I had my own babies, so does that mean I'm owed 6 of them??? Or does it just not quite work that way? Awww SHUCKS, I was thinking up some pretty good ones...   CAN YOU BELIEVE that there is even a definition in the dictionary for this, uh huh there sure is:

A push present (also known as a "push gift" or "baby bauble") is a present a new parent gives a new mother when she gives birth to their child. In practice the present may be given before or after the birth, or even in the delivery room. The giving of push presents has supposedly grown in the United States in recent years.

anyways back to what Daddy Ken was up to - he snuck off and came back with THE DIAPER BAG, no not a diaper bag but THE DIAPER BAG a Louis Vuitton NO LESS!
